  1. At the bottom of the assignment you have also the option to save all your work on the assignment and to have the complete assignment graded.

 When you enter numerical answers please enter the exact result or if too long, enter a sufficient number of digits. This may not make any sense in terms of the concept of significant digits but it aids in avoiding rounding errors. This means a correct answer could be marked as wrong by WebAssign due to the rounding error you may have made in entering your answer. However, there are limits to this approach since this strategy is unlikely to convert a incorrect solution into a correct solution  be careful in deciding if you are dealing with a rounding error problem or a mistake in your math or in your approach to solve the problem.

A few more comments:

 Sometimes you will need to enter large numbers such as 1.56 million and the question is how to enter this number into WebAssign. You can either write this as 1560000 or as 1.56E6 or as 1.560E6… In general the symbol “En” stands for 10n where n can be positive, negative, or zero. The same approach works for small numbers such as 0.0156 which can also be entered as 1.56E-2. Of course it is your choice how to enter your results but experience shows that it is best to use the “En” notation.  Old assignments are going to be visible until the end of the calendar year week. So you will have a chance to download/print your problem sets and solutions (solution are only accessible through the class webpage).  Changing/entering your email and/or changing your password in WebAssign : It is your responsibility to keep your email address updated in WebAssign, for it may be used to communicate important information between instructor and class. If you change your password it is your responsibility to keep track of it since you are the only one who knows it.

  1. Click on “My Options”.
  2. Fill in the required fields.
  3. Click “save”.
