Lab 6 ─ Image Maps
CSCE 102
In this lab, you will create two web pages, aLab6axx.html and aLab6bxx.html. You
will need to include links to these pages in the list on your allAssign.html page.
aLab5axx.html Creating Image Maps
Include a title for the web page and the usual comments.
Include your name, section number and your login name using headings. Use at
least four different heading tags.
Include an external CSS that will also apply to aLab6bxx.html.
Include a comment in the CSS with your name and section number and lab
instructor’s name.
In this CSS include at least twelve colors. Use the number for the color, not the
name, for all colors used.
Include properties for a:link, a:visited and a:hover. (See page 544.) Note: a:link,,
a:visited and a:hover must be listed in that order in the style sheet.
Include an image of you that is an image map — when you click on your chin it
will link to a site on the web about your favorite food. You choose the shape of
the link.
Include a short paragraph about the food and why it is your favorite.
Include an image of a map. Make the image an image map with three links two to
the web, and the other to an image that you downloaded. There should be a
relationship between the clickable locations on the map and the image and the
website. You choose the shape of the link.
Include a link to aLab6bxx.html.
EXAMPLE
The first hyperlink is located in the sky. The second hyperlink is on the triangle
shaped roof of the pool bar. The third and fourth links are located in each of the
two pools.
NOTE: you should
NOT label or draw the
hyperlinks on your
picture. This example
has labels so that you
will know where the
hyperlinks are.
