The aim of the research paper to develop online search portals as well as provide proper login in search portals. The importance of placement increase day by day thousands are depending placements cells. A job portal helps both the job seeker and recruiter finding the right organisation for the employees. In the case of job seekers according to their educational qualification experience and their preferences. The job portals show the list of companies to the job seekers and the recruiters provide the suitable candidates from a pool of lacs. Incremental development in technology has influenced recruitment practice of human resources, where Electronic mode is used as a platform for job posting and attracting potential candidates to apply for the job. A job portals popularly known as a career portal is a hub of information, which helps the job seekers to explore career opportunity with various registered companies and apply for the same. INTRODUCTION A job portals popularly known as a career portal is a hub of information, which helps the job seekers to explore career opportunity with various registered companies and apply for the same. Online job portal is aimed at developing or building an online search Portal for job application for job seekers. The system project is an online web application which can be opened anywhere only with proper login provided. The system will be used as an Online Job Portal for job seekers. Job Seekers must be able to login and upload their Curriculum Vitae (CV). Companies and organizations may also login and access or search any information uploaded by Job searchers. Overall it serves as a platform which accommodates to post, assemble and search for the information required by job seekers and employers BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY The quality of people hired for a specific job is usually the key issue when measuring the effectiveness of the employment.However,in certain circumstances the speed of hiring is also an issue and also contribute to quality hiring. The job recruitment or hiring employees
process in the past years was based on advertisements in the newspapers and have a panel on the appointed day to interview applicants. The traditional hiring of employees starts with the processing of application forms, describe the job for each position, verify application forms and lastly evaluate the best person for the job. The whole process from advertising to hiring a quality applicant takes a lot of time, effort and also has more weaknesses. The advertisement itself is costly, especially when done through print media key (newspapers) therefore the publication of the job adverts will only last for a very short time and in that case, few people will have seen the job vacancy. Moreover, submission of the application form requires physical presence of the applicant to hand it over and this could be an inconvenience most applicants due to the fact that we belong to different geological locations in the country. Thus, the traditional recruitment process is not be the best in today’s competitive job market. The basis of a hiring process is to give out to potential employees and bring out the specific kind of required skills and experiences in the field organization. The question here is how this could be made well-organized and possible. This question or problem can be solved by an online job portal system which is set to transform the way in which companies and other employers recruit their employees. Online job portal system is fundamental in removal of paper works and introduction of workflow systems that connect job seekers and employers and also stores data in dependable databases. Online job reduce paper work in offices and work through green human resources and sustainable development. In this case, companies can therefore commit themselves to equal opportunities as job providers and can generate new and qualified employees. Due to this change in technology job recruitment must also change because the use of the internet is also frequent then developing an online job portal will be of great impact to job seekers and employers. The system will be reliable because most Indian are ever using the internet for browsing and entertainment. The online job portal will use the internet to advertise and find the best people for jobs. The system is to be used by employers to improve efficiency in employment sector and it will provide jobs catalog and information to members or users and help them decide on which jobs to apply. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM In India employment has been made manual in the past many years up to this current situation where everything has totally different due to technological changes. The traditional mode of employment takes a lot of steps from advertisement, application, verify application and conduct interviews therefore consuming a lot of time. In the current scenario India where technology is also advancing most job recruitment process has about changed though some

It helps to identify the problems that exist in the existing systems and also it provides the best approach to achieve the objectives. It will deal with comparison between portal and existing system. Online job portal system is a kind of e-recruitment system that allows users or the job seekers and companies to apply to jobs and post jobs online respectively. Online job portal is a web based recruitment system that can be defined as recruiting process which is conducted through web based tools, for instance, a firm’s corporate intranet or its public internet. This recruitment process through the online job portal can also be termed as e-recruitment, internet recruitment or online recruitment (M Kerrin, 2003).search various websites and applying for jobs is much boring because they require a lot of extra effort. It takes a lot of time to know and learn about a company, the requirements the company wants for a position and also their qualifications. In most cases, the only way to look up for jobs is through websites or employee referrals. This idea motivated me to develop a system where time and efforts are saved because the job post will tell the job seeker where the company is located and may be learn more. OVERVIEW OF ONLINE JOB PORTAL Internet has created to become a popular advantage to most organizations and companies. Many companies have designed websites to be used to advertise their jobs. It came to my awareness that a portal can be far better to use in job advertisement than websites because a portal can be a gateway to access website information whereas a website just displays online content. A portal improves functionality and flexibility to cater for various classes of users. Many companies have realized the need to change employment or recruitment process in order to cope up with the increasingly changing technology and the large number of job seekers. (Midiwo,2015). The internet therefore has become a popular way to recruit people. The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is a system which has been used previously to manage employees. The efficiency and effectiveness of the Human Resource Information System enables staff to format their profile, strengths and weaknesses(Rawat,2010).When such a system is used it is easy to have the quality personnel in the right place. It is clear that from an HRIS more advancements can be made so that the recruitment process is done online and
from their the user will continue updating his/her resumes online even after employment and companies be in a position to download the resumes. A well developed web-based portal is a top cost reducing strategy to be applied or used by organizations because efficiency is improved within the organization (Kemei,2016).With cloud computing, it is easy to maintain data and applications using remote servers and the internet (Anitha and Aruna,2013). New technology is currently changing the way we carry out business everyday the way we isolate, recruit and hire or employ the best candidates/applicants. Traditionally it was all about paper resumes, newspaper advertisements, television or radio advertisement and traditional sit down interviews. CURRENT TRENDS IN JOB RECRUITMENT SOCIAL MEDIA Social media sites become most popular in 2014 and they have been currently in employing people. Social media sites facilitates the development of personal relationships for hiring ,networking and employee referrals. This sites include Linked In, Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc (KR Wanjiku,2015).With millions of people using social media sites, the large fragment that is available for talent acquisition is so attractive for any known human resource department to pay no attention to (Pfeiffelmann,2010). The supremacy of social media is a very prosperous interactive waterway for personalizing and contextualizing the communication at individual level (Dutta D, 2014). Job seekers have are using the internet to make themselves a commodity on Amazon to make campaigns for their future jobs. The known employers will then scoop the person up from Amazon because they display what they can bring the application process. A story in (USA TODAY) says, some companies are now taking to the twitter sphere to find employees. Corporate WEBSITES Corporate web sites refer to an employer’s own website. Most of the organizations and companies use website to reduce recruitment costs as well as improve the competence of the recruitment process (Pfieffelmann, 2010).Companies and other employment agencies use the corporate websites to endorse their product, their name and offer a better service to applicants. According to (Parry and Tyson, 2008), its clear that corporate websites cannot be used successfully to hire employees in companies that are not well known except that a company implements other advertising channels like print media to direct people to their site.
It is easy to manage due to manage because each phase has specific deliverables and a review process. Phases are processed and completed one at a time. The phases do not overlap. Works well for smaller projects where requirements are very well understood. My project requirements are well understood. Simple and easy to understand and use. CONCLUSION From the reviews above I came into conclusion that an online job portal may be used to incorporate all the technologies and trends in recruitment process.
