It is under the ICT. An example is Google, they manage information. INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY Describes as using computers and other digital technologies to assist individuals or institutions in handling or using information. ICT is technology that supports activities involving information such as gathering, processing, storing, and presenting data. It refers to the use of technology where there is a collaboration and communication from one person to another person. It is the process of exchanging information with the use of computer or the technology. BASIC PERIODS OF COMPUTER HISTORY Pre-Mechanical Age 3000 BC-1450 AD Writing Alphabets Petroglyphs - figures or signs carved in stone Ideographs - symbols that pertains idea Cuneiform - the first written language used by Sumerian Phoenicians created symbols that is expressed as syllables Greeks adopted Phoenician alphabets and added vowels Romans gave the letters Latin name that we use today

Charles Xavier Thomas de Colmar 1820 - developed Arithmometer, the first mass produced calculator. Charles Babbage - invented the difference engine (1821) and analytical engine (1832). He is the father of modern computer. Lady Auda Augusta Lovelace Byron 1840 - the first computer programmer. Electromechanical Age 1840- Voltaic Battery - first electric battery known as voltaic pile by Alessandro Volta.
