1. Length
2. Width
3. Depth
4. Depth of tunneling
Undermining is around the edges – deviation from wound edges
Tunneling is inside – deviation from wound bed
Measure tunneling depth and cross at entry point
Put cotton tip in and lay another across and where they cross is the depth of the
wound
Clean the wound inside out
