Good morning Maam.
The assigned students will stand up ( Dear
Lord)
There is no absent today Maam.
A. Reviewing Previous Lesson
“As a review of what you have learned in Grade 6,
we are going to identify the integers.
Okay let’s begin. Tell whether if the given number is
a positive or a negative integer.
Jieun can you tell the class what’s your answer.
The students are listening to the teacher.

Reviewing Previous Lesson “As a review of what you have learned in Grade 6, we are going to identify the integers. Okay let’s begin. Tell whether if the given number is a positive or a negative integer. Jieun can you tell the class what’s your answer. The students are listening to the teacher.

Okay good!, how about this one Ueana? Very good! Can you identify if the given integer is greater than, less than or equal to the other integer. Lilac can you tell us your answer? Wonderful! How about this one? Very good! You were able to identify the given integers. Ma’am it is a positive integer. It is a negative integer. My answer is greater than. It is less than. B. Establishing the purpose of the Lesson Before we formally start our discussion let us first arrange the scrambled letters. That’s right class and this is where we will focus our discussion for today. The students will participate in arranging the scrambled letters. The students will come up with the answer ADDITION OF INTEGERS C. Presenting examples/Instances of the new lesson Let us study the following examples: Addition of number using number line.

  1. Use the number line to find the sum of 6 and 3=? In the number line, start with point 6 and count 3 units to the right. At what point on the number line does it stop? Jenny? Good! It stop at point 9; hence 6+3=9. The class are listening quietly and jutting down information. Ma’am it stop at positive 9. NOTIDIDA FO^ RSETEGIN

Very well said Liam. Okay let’s proceed. Kindly exchange your paper. sign of the larger. This is only applicable on adding of number with different sign but if the numbers have the same sign we will just going to add it and copy it sign. The students will have a peer evaluation. G. Finding Practical application of concept and skills in daily living Now that you successfully answer the activities and explained the process of adding integers. Group yourself into three groups start to count from 1 to

  1. Students who got the same number are group mates. “Each of the members are given a specific equation you are going to work collaboratively to answer all of those, so make sure that you will guide and support your members in order for you to solve the problem correctly. After that your group will show your solution in front by drawing a number line and explain it.” The students will follow the instruction and count from 1 to 3. In this activity students with special needs are included and equally distributed to the 3 groups. The students will work collaboratively and present their work once they are done. H. Making generalization and abstraction of the new lesson To sum it up we are able to learn the addition of integers and learn the steps in solving it. The following are the steps in adding integers;
  2. Determine the higher number in the given equation then start to that point.
  3. Next identify the sign of the other number if it is negative or positive.
  4. If it is negative, count the number to the left of the starting point.
  5. If it is positive, count the number to the right of the starting point.
  6. The point where it stop is the final answer. The students will write following steps, read and understand it further. I. Evaluating To test your understanding of our lesson for today. You are going to solve another set of equation. You are given to finish it within 15 minutes. The 5 minutes is an addition for those students with special needs. The students will solve the problem on their own. After the allotted time they need to pass their paper for their grade.

J. Additional Activities The teacher will give the assignment and tell the students to copy their homework. The students will copy the given assignment. K. Remarks A. Number of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation. B. Number of learners who require additional activities for remediation. C. Did the remedial lesson work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson. D. Number of learners who continue to require remediation. E. Which of my teaching strategies work well? Why did this work? F. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or supervisor can help me solve. Prepared by: ZHIA M. LABRADOR Student Teacher
