PAGE BREAKS

In this chapter you will learn how to i “Page Breaks” inside a Word document.

Now, it seems like a real simple topic, which it is, but there are many options you need to be aware of.

For example, this is a three page document,

and if I do a “Print Preview”, and

I’m in the Page Layout mode as I scroll down,

you will see that where it makes a page break, it physically shows us a break in the two pages.

On the other hand, if you’re viewing this in the Normal mode,

you’ll simply see a dotted line across the screen, indicating that the required page break is made by Microsoft Word.

Now, if you go to the “Insert” Pull- down menu, You will find the “Break” command.

In here I have three different types of page breaks: a page break, a column break, or a text wrapping break.

What a “Page Break” means that if I click on “Page Break”, it inserts a typical page break. Now as you can see here, the difference between your page break versus the computer’s, is that in your page break, is that it physically puts the words “Page Break” in there.
