Mid-Term Project Progress Report for Two-Term project (10 or more pages)
Due: December 8, 2008
Please prepare a ten or more pages report in Microsoft Word detailing your group’s
progress in the project so far. Your report should call
GroupNameITEC4390MidProjectFall08ProgReport.doc. Groupname should be your
group’s name. For example, if your group’s name is "GreenLand" then your filename
should be "GreenLandITEC4390MidProjectFall08ProgReport.doc". You may also
submit other supporting docs for your report; each supporting doc should start with
GroupName as part of the file name. In your report, you want to discuss with me for the
progress of your tasks that you listed in your detailed project planning guide. You want
to report if you have completed half or more than half of all the components that you
listed in the Detail Project Planning Guide. We want to know how far along you have on
your project especially the building of the prototype of your project. Report your
confidence in completing the project. Share with us obstacles you have encountered or
the successes that you have experienced. Other information like what we have done right
or what you wish you have possessed before starting the project. Share with us any of
your thoughts. For this report, you need to submit a hard copy to me as well as submitting
a softcopy. This report should have at least 10 pages. It should not be a mere repeating of
your previous progress reports. We are using this doc to find out how well you are doing
and how you are planning to complete the project on time. In order to help you for your
Mid-Project Progress Report, I am including some suggestions as follows; you can add
more information in your report.
1. (15 points) Report so far which components or in which phase that you have
completed your project? Summarize what you have completed so far. Is it
50% complete or else?
2. (10 points) Were you satisfied the work you have completed so far for each
components? Why?
3. (10 points) Does the completed work match your expectation as well as
matching your time scheduled in your Detailed Project Planning Doc?
4. (20 points) What are the remaining components or phases that you need to do
in order to complete all your phases?
5. (10 points) What is your confidence in completing your project on time?
Why?
6. (10 points) Carefully examine your Detailed Project Planning Guide and
report any changes you need to make in the Detailed Project Planning Guide
in order to complete the project on time. If you have to revise your Detailed
Project Planning Guide, please list the changes and include the revised
Detailed Project Planning Guide in your submission.
7. (10 points) Please include some screen shots of your applications or websites
that you have completed.
8. (15 points) If you are developing a dynamic website and you have setup your
website with an ISP, then please include the URL and include some guidance

of how to navigate and use your website. If you are developing your dynamic website, then please arrange to show me your prototype or send me your url with instruction of how to navigate your websites. Please also send me a zip file with your prototype with all the web files, database file and instruction of navigating in your system with some suggested test data. If you are developing an integrated system, then please arrange to show me your completed prototype or send me your executables (which can run on a Windows XP) with the database, test data and documentation of how to use the application.
