Survival Mode
Step 1: Find and gather wood.
Cut down trees with your hand to gather wood. Place your
finger on the bark of a tree and hold it there until the bark
breaks.
Step 2: Use the crafting grid in your inventory to craft wooden
planks. You can then make a crafting table and sticks using the
crafting grid.
Step 3: Use the crafting table to make a wooden pickaxe. The
pickaxe will allow you to mine stone.
In order to use the crafting table, you first have to build it.
Do this by placing the crafting table anywhere in front
of you.
Make sure to chop down your table when you're done
using it. This will put it back in your inventory so that
you can use it at a later time.
Step 4: Find and gather coal.
Coal can be found on the side of and inside mountains.
Step 5: Make torches using your crafting table.
Step 6: Find shelter for the night to avoid the monsters.
Make a temporary home by digging into a mountain or
down into the ground. Be sure to close the entrance so that
monsters cannot get in.
Use torches for light.
Step 7: Start mining to find other valuable resources, such as
iron and diamonds. These resources can be used to build better
weapons and armor.
Use the crafting table to build more items. The more
resources you gather, the more items you can build.
When you collect some stone, make a furnace. You can
use the furnace to cook food and to create ingots.
Step 8: Build a permanent shelter or explore. The
possibilities are endless!
