Comment: Most helpful: the instructor ensured material was understood by all students prior to moving on to different topics when at all possible. To Improve: Some portions of the course are not covered as throughly as I would have liked, possibly tailoring the course more towards what specific topics the students would like.

Comment: The course was an excellent continuation of the ECE 240 course. I enjoyed the projects and the problem solving involved with them. I would like to see more integration between this course and the ECE 443 course, especially in the lab/project portion.

Comment: Dr. Frenzel is one-of-a-kind, that's for sure. He knows his stuff, and
class with no professor pre-recording anything, just homework and project based.

Comment: It was a good intro into digital design using VHDL. The projects were the best part of the class because they let you go through the whole design process and complete a design implemented in lab. A little better intro into using the FPGAs and Xilinx at the beginning of the class would have been helpful, or maybe a simpler

Comment: The instructor was always willing to answer questions (or at least explain why he could not). Also, great communication via email always kept the class aware of new assignments and other materials. Overall, how would you rate the quality of this course? 4 Comment: Overall, I found this to be a very good course. I also liked the textbook that was chosen for this class and I found it to be much better than the one used previously in ECE240.
