A. Introduce

  • In part 2 of this assignment, I'll talk about the importance of team dynamics, the definition of CPD, and my personal strengths and weaknesses.

B. DISCUSS THE IMPORTANCE OF TEAM DYNAMICS IN THE SUCCESS

AND/OR FAILURE OF GROUP WORK (P5)

I. Definition Of TeamDynamics:

  • Team dynamics are the unconscious, psychological factors that influence the direction of a team’s behavior and performance.
  • A team with good group dynamics may be constructive and productive, and it may demonstrate mutual understanding and self-corrective behavior. On the other hand, poor group dynamics can be disruptive for successful decision making and work outcomes. ( 2013- S.P.Myer)

II. Why team dynamics important in the success/failure of group work

  • Team dynamics are super important to the success of every company and every project. In fact, you can make the case that team dynamics are the most important aspect of managing as success project, whether you are using standard project management, agile, lean, or any one of a variety of these methodologies. Yes, they can be quite complicated, but they can be learned.

D. DISCUSS THE IMPORTANCE OF CPD AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO

OWN LEARNING (P7)

I. Definition of CPD

- CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. It refers to the process of

tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and experience that you gain both formally and informally as you work, beyond any initial training. It’s a record of what

you experience, learn and then apply. The term is generally used to mean a physical folder or portfolio documenting your development as a professional. Some organisations use it to mean a training or development plan, which I would argue is not strictly accurate. This article is about Continuing Professional Development as a process of recording and reflecting on learning and development. Johnstone, L. (2019)

II. Why CPD importance

  • CPD ensure your capabilities keep pace with the current standards of others in the same field.
  • CPD ensures that you maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills you need to deliver a professional service to your customers, clients and the community.
  • CPD ensures that you and your knowledge stay relevant and up to date. You are more aware of the changing trends and directions in your profession. The pace of change is probably faster than it’s ever been – and this is a feature of the new normal that we live and work in. If you stand still you will get left behind, as the currency of your knowledge and skills becomes out-dated.
  • CPD helps you continue to make a meaningful contribution to your team. You become more effective in the workplace. This assists you to advance in your career and move into new positions where you can lead, manage, influence, coach and mentor others.
