1. When you suck the air out of a straw you create a vacuum and then you
decrease the pressure inside the straw. This makes the atmospheric
pressure higher than the pressure in the straw forcing the liquid to go up.
2. air pressure is the weight of the column of air directly above that direct
point. So as height increases this column becomes smaller, so it has less
weight. This means the points at higher altitude have lower pressure.
3. force = pressure × area
100𝑘𝑃𝑎 = 100,000 × 0.0012 m2
=120N
