Q.3 (a) Briefly explain what is meant by a complex waveform. [6 Marks] (b) Explain what is meant by the frequency spectrum of a complex waveform. [7 Marks] (c) Sketch the frequency spectrum of a square wave. [7 Marks]

Q.4 A sinusoidal voltage waveform is given by the equation v = 6 sin(1570.8 t ). Determine; (a) the peak value, [4 Marks] (b) the angular frequency, [4 Marks] (c) the cyclic frequency, [4 Marks] (d) the periodic time, [4 Marks] (e) the instantaneous voltage 2.5 ms into the cycle. [4 Marks]
