Q.3 (a) Sketch the circuit diagrams of both a half-wave rectifier and a full-wave bridge rectifier. [12 Marks] (b) Briefly describe the operation of the half-wave rectifier. [8 Marks]
Q.4 Show how capacitor smoothing may be introduced to a half-wave rectifier, and illustrate its effect with the help of waveform diagrams. [20 Marks]
