A. Introduction Assignment 1 has report about the profession practice through 4-day training event. Assignment 2 continue present professional practical but in this report, it will be discussed about the different methods of learning and reflection, which will help student to identify their own preferred style of learning. This assignment will discuss the importance of team dynamics in the success or failure of group work. In addition, the author will also discuss the importance of CPD and its contribution to own learning. The author need produce a development plan that outlines responsibilities, performance objectives and required skills, knowledge and learning for future. B. Discuss the importance of team dynamics in the success and failure of group works (P5) I. Definition of team dynamics The unconscious, psychological factors that shape a team’s behavior and performance are known as team dynamic. They are like sea undercurrents that may take boats in the opposite direction of where they want to go. Team dynamics describes the effects of these roles and behavior on other group members, and on the group. (Myers, P. ,2013). The nature of the team’s activity, the personalities on the team, their working relationships with other individuals, and the setting in which the team works all contribute to team dynamics. II. The importance of team dynamics in the success or failure of group work Team dynamic in the workplace is important because they impact creativity, productivity, and effectiveness. Improved team’s dynamics may lead to better job outputs, customer satisfaction, and a higher bottom line because teamwork is so important in business. Benefits of team dynamic: Positive team dynamics can bring a lot of benefits to operation, not least because it is the surest way of leveraging the full potential of employees via their skills and experience. Those benefits such as improved results, a team operating to its fullest potential is naturally going to get better results. Greater levels of cooperation and collaboration are possible when teams work in a more informal and supportive atmosphere. Team members are also more willing to listen to each other and so make faster decisions. Moreover, individual team members feel more valued, the pay back is greater committed and loyalty from workers. (Powderly, W. ,2020).
III. In my group Member 1 Role Reason Nguyen Trong Dat Task Roles: Opinion Seeker The ideas of time and place of organization are all created by Dat. He asks for clarification of the values, attitudes, and opinions of group members. Personal Roles: Observe/Commentator The special features of the program such as talk show, gameshow is provided with clear information by Dat. He provides feedback to the group about how it is functioning. Dysfunction Roles: Special Interest Pleader Sometime in the meetings, Dat avoids revealing his biases or opinions by using a stereotypical position instead. Personal Roles: Harmonizer Some time in meeting, there are a few controversies and Duc seeks way to reduce tension and diffuse a situation by proving further explanations or using humor. Dysfunctional Roles: Disruptor Sometime, Duc distracts other member by telling jokes, playing pranks, or even reading unrelated material. myself as a harmonizer, I seeks ways to reduce tension and diffuse a situation by providing further explanations or using humor. Last but not least, dysfunctional role, this can be a negative role, but it is actually a necessary role in meetings to bring people laughter instead of a stressful atmosphere. I consider myself a dispute because in sometime, I use group meetings as fun time and a way to get out of real work. III. Result of group work The training event was a great success with the number exceeding expectations (150 / 100 students). In addition, the positive comments from students give us a lot of motivation for us to create such events. The speaker gives us some compliments on the show and keep it going and with that, they give us some good advice to enhance the development of events like this. Overall, the event went smoothly but there were still some defects or problems in the process, but we also managed to solve the problem and from there we took it as a lesson. and learn from it for the next time. D. Discuss the importance of CPD and its contribution to own learning (P7) I. Definition of CPD The process of growing professional skills and knowledge through interactive, participation-based, or autonomous learning is known as continuing professional development (CPD). Learners can use certified learning or self-guided learning approaches to proactively build their professional competencies. Setting short and long-term goals with a defined and goal-specific strategy is part of the process. People who participate in CPD are required to preserve records of any information gained and progress achieved to reflect on their learning, showcase abilities, and occasionally as proof of having completed CPD. CPD makes learning deliberate and proactive, rather than passive and reactive, to improve personal abilities for use in the job. Furthermore, several approaches are used, including workshops, conferences, and e-learning or online courses. (Burton, L., 2017) II. Importance of CPD CPD, or continuing professional development, ensures that people remain adept and knowledgeable in their field while also equipping with critical skills that will help them advance in their career. It's also not a one-stop shop; it continues to grow and evolve throughout their career. It ensures that employees maintain a constant set of high-quality, relevant skills and knowledge throughout their careers. The best aspect is that CPD places learners in a position to demonstrate new skills, work to high standards, and advance in their careers (Burton, L., 2017).
CPD also makes learning deliberate and proactive, rather than passive and reactive, in order to improve personal abilities for use in the job. CPD contribution to own learning CPD bring me a lot of benefit such as: builds confident and credibility, I can see my progression by tracking their learning. CPD helps me earn more by showcasing achievements. Moreover, with CPD, I can be more productive and efficient by reflecting on my learning and highlighting gaps in my knowledge and experience. Setting Goals To achieve our goals in life, we first need to have set goals in mind. But that goal can be divided into two goals that are short-term and long-term. I have also set myself goals for this 2022 My short term is complete a car driving course, the exam is about to take place, specifically on January 3, 2021. Before the test day, I will need to prepare a few days to prepare mentally as well as the theoretical knowledge I have learned. My long term is become a professional wed developer. My major in university is about information technology. There are a lot to learn about IT, but I personally find myself suitable for web design because it's a mix of coding and design which I was passionate about before coming to IT. II. Three skills need to develop I personally think here are 3 skill that I need to spend time to learn and develop in the future for my career. First, English skill, nowadays, English is no longer a foreign language to everyone and now it is an essential language for international communication. So, it wouldn't be strange if I prioritized this skill as the first skill I needed to learn. Second, thinking skill, in theory as well as practice in writing code, thinking is also a necessary thing while working on small or large projects, I choose to learn thinking skills because it simply serves my job is a lot. Finally, communication skill, everyone needs to have these skills, it helps me create interesting conversations in real life, it also helps me make friends easily, confidently negotiate with customers, ...
