cards associated.

Physiology of the respiratory system
Anatomy of skeletal system
Anatomy of the brain and what areas are responsible for what actions/functions.
oExample: The cerebellum inferior to the occipital lobe and posterior to the brainstem.
The main functions include coordinating voluntary muscle movements, posture, and fine
motor movements.
General knowledge of aerobic and anaerobic metabolism. What does this mean, and which one
produces more ATP.
Sympathetic and Parasympathetic responses and how these affect the body: (think in terms of
signs and symptoms if this helps)
What is the definition of Blood pressure? What is systolic and diastolic?

OSMOSIS.ORG – Amazing website for all of your medical learning needs. It can go in a little deeper into
the topic sometimes, but only briefly. This can be a paid site, so let me know if you reach a block.

discusses all aspects of A&P so you can search mor that what I have provided.

Medical Terminology will help you in A&P and other aspects in this class. You can review the associated flash cards for chapter 5. I have Provided some quizlets that are helpful: https://quizlet.com/35113950/medical-terminology-flash-cards/ https://quizlet.com/53848966/medical-terminology-flash-cards/ Medical, Legal and Ethical. This is more than just the terminology; can you apply these to a scenario? What is negligence and the 4 elements? What is abandonment? What is expressed, implied and informed consent? What is capacity and how can we check? What do we do in the case of a violent patient? What scenarios can your rights be taken away? How to Study in General:

  1. Using a pen, or a digital stylus, involves more of the brain than using a keyboard, her new findings show. This is because writing and printing involve intricate movements that activate more areas of the brain hen we write, our brain needs to think about and retrieve memories of the shape of each letter. We also need to use our eyes to watch what shapes we’re writing. And we need to control our hands to press a pen or pencil to shape the different letters. All of this uses and connects more areas of the brain.
  2. Space out your studying. Don't cram before your test. I will pace out the assignments and when outlines are due on navigate. Keep up with those assignments.
  3. Review your assignments and outlines. Bring questions to class that you don't understand about your assignments and outlines.
  4. Use your book as a resource on information you are struggling with the most. Read the chapters and areas you do not understand. This way you are not reading the entire book. You can read the entire book if you wish!
  5. Practice and test yourself. You can find quizlets and other tests online to practice. Also practice any Kahoots I post or take notes from them.
  6. Develop a study plan or habit and stick to it. For example: If you know you have to work Thursday then you should probably complete your assignments on Wednesday.
  7. Sleep! Studying all night will not help you, a lot of this information will be lost. You need sleep to process and refresh.
