Write about your experience in the session of Professional
Practice today. How did you feel about it and did you learn
anything?
In one of our class of Professional Practice, all of us were instructed by our
teacher to take a piece of paper and go on folding and tearing corners
according to the instruction given by the teacher. Later when the teacher
made us unfold that paper and told to share our results among each other,
then we realized that, though the teacher was giving same instruction to all
of us and we were following it sincerely, the results varied. In addition,
every individual got a unique result. Then we came to a conclusion that
there was a lesson behind that game. The class was totally like a
motivational class. Further the class was very meaningful in itself. The
lesson that we learned in that session was very practical, truthful and useful
in our daily life.
In addition, there were many obstacles during the communication between
teacher and the students. The communication process was not effective.
Firstly, the mode of communication can also be pointed as the obstacles
because it was verbal communication as we were following the instructions
by listening to the teachers. If the mode of communication was by
Visualization, then there the majority of the results wouldn’t be varied.
Secondly, the instruction was not clear enough that we had many options
while following the instructions. We followed the instruction sincerely but we
were not a hundred percent sure to do it in a sure certain way.
The learning outcome of this lesson is that everything is unique in their own
kind. Peoples are unique in their concept. There are obstacles in any work
and there are many factors that affects the communication. sometimes
what we think is right probably may not be. When a certain message is
conveyed by someone its meaning may change then it reaches to other
person according their perception and understanding capacity of the
receiver. Its meaning depends upon how we decode that message. Every
individual has their own way of analyzing the message.
