Project Title: Benefits and challenge with implementing IOT in manufacturing industry.
What will it cover?
Smart manufacturing is about harnessing the power of data and using analytics to run your
facility better. Internet of Things technology can communicate what needs to be done at the
exact moment of relevance. Manufacturing equipment can be fitted with sensors to collect data
and better understand how machines are operating. For example, let’s say that you’re
maintaining an expensive and valuable piece of equipment. In the past, the process involved a
few basic steps, including: Measuring how frequently the machinery failed and using a
preventive maintenance schedule that was slightly shorter than the average period of failure.
Waiting for the equipment to fail. Fixing the equipment.
Why do you want to do it?
Because, this smart manufacturing will help the factory workers to use their work easily. This
manufacturing system help the how the machine will operate and collect the data with the help of
the seniors. This smart manufacturing helps to know the which machine will be failure and
which machine in good condition. This smart manufacturing forecast the machine condition is
failure and they maintained fast and there is less work disturbance.
How will you do it?
I will use AI based technology. For this, I will prepare a questionnaire which will be provided to
industry experts. Those questions will include the topics like; ‘Are you happy with what you get
in the technology right now?’, ‘What are the changes you would want to have in the
technology?’, ‘Would to love it this manufacturing system?’, ‘Do you have any ideas you
would love to share?’ and so on. Based on their feedback, features will be added to the smart
manufacturing. I will too take help from experienced mates. Preferred programming language
will be chosen. Prototype will be made for designing the manufacturing system with additional
features. And finally we complete.
