II. Main body

2.1. Different communication styles and formats.

  1. 1 .1. The definition of communication. Figure 1 : What is communication Communication is the process of sharing information between two or more people. Communication involves the transfer or exchange of information between individuals or groups. Essentially, it’s about sharing ideas or information through speaking, writing, listening, or reading. This interaction, at its core, connects two or more people in an exchange of thoughts or messages.

Figure 2 : Some skills in verbal communication Some key aspects of verbal communication:

  • Words: The choice of words and how they are arranged in sentences convey the intended meaning. It is important to use clear, concise, and appropriate language to ensure effective communication.
  • Tone of voice: The tone of voice, including volume, pitch, and emphasis, adds meaning and emotion to the spoken words. It can convey attitudes, intentions, and feelings, influencing how the message is interpreted by the listener.
  • Active listening: Verbal communication is a two-way process, and active listening is crucial for effective communication. Both the trainer and new employees should listen to each other opinion and respect them.
  • Clarity and conciseness: Clearly expressing ideas and thoughts in a concise manner helps ensure that the message is easily understood by the listener. Avoiding ambiguity and using simple, straightforward language can enhance clarity in verbal communication.
  • Cultural considerations: Verbal communication can vary across cultures due to differences in language, dialects, accents, and communication styles. It is important to be aware of and respect cultural differences to avoid misinterpretation or misunderstandings.

Verbal communication is a powerful tool for expressing thoughts, sharing information, and building relationships. However, it is essential to be mindful of the words we choose, how we deliver them, and how we interpret the verbal cues of others to ensure effective and meaningful communication. 2.1.3. Non-verbal communication Figure 3 : What is non-verbal communication Nonverbal communication (nonverbal communication) is the conveying of information, thoughts, feelings and opinions without using spoken or written language. Instead of using words, nonverbal communication relies on other convenient means such as gestures, expressions, eye contact, body movements, noise, laughter, breathing sounds, etc.

Figure 5 : Body gestures

  • Noise and breathing sounds: Noises and breathing sounds can convey emotions and psychological conditions such as excitement, disbelief, boredom, satisfaction, etc. For example, laughter, moaning, sighing, etc.
  • Spatial Communication: Spatial communication involves using the space around us to convey a message. For example, the way we arrange furniture in our workspace or the amount of space we create between ourselves and others can imply a degree of closeness or social distance. In general, nonverbal communication mainly relies on nonverbal elements to convey messages and interact with others. It can be an important part of understanding and interacting in everyday communication situations.

2.2. Demonstrate effective design and delivery of a training event for a given target audience and show effective time-management skills in

planning an event.

2.2.1. The definition and importance of time management. Figure 6 : What is time management Time management is the process of organizing and prioritizing activities, tasks, and tasks within a given period of time to increase performance, productivity, and achieve personal or organizational goals. It includes identifying goals, prioritizing work, planning, dividing time and using effective tools and skills to manage time effectively. The importance of time management:
