FINAL PROJECT REPORT GUIDELINES (8th Sem)
Some important notes while preparing the project proposal:
The following suggested guidelines may be followed in preparing the Final Project Report:
Good quality white executive bond paper A4 size should be used for typing and duplication. Care should be
taken to avoid smudging while duplicating the copies.
Page Specification (Written paper): A4 pages
Left margin - 1.5 cms Right margin- 1.0 cms
Top margin โ€“ 1.5 cms Bottom margin โ€“ 1.0 cms
Header Top margin โ€“ 1.5 cms Footer Bottom margin- 1.5 cms
Heading Size โ€“ 14 BOLD Center aligned Sub Heading โ€“ 12 BOLD Left aligned
Header Top Right: Title of the Project
Footer: Page Number (centered), Roll no: on Right side
Font: Times New Roman
Font- Size: 12
1.5 Line Spacing for Text
Page numbers - All text pages should be numbered at the bottom center of the pages. All figures, charts,
tables, graphs and diagram should be numbered according to Table of Content number (i.e. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3โ€ฆ.,
2.1, 2.2 โ€ฆ.)
The Cover Page should NOT be numbered and Acknowledgement, Abstract, Table of Content etc.
should be numbered with roman numerals.
Submission of Project Report:
The student will submit his/her project report in the prescribed format. The Project Report should
include:
* One hard Copy of the final Project Report per Group to be submitted (spiral binding) for internal.
* The Project Report must be at least 60 pages.

FORMAT OF THE STUDENT PROJECT REPORT ON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT:

i) Cover Page as per format at Annexure I. ii) Acknowledgement. ( duly signed by student) iii) Certificate of the project guide as at Annexure III. iv) Certificate of the Company/Organization (if applicable). Main Report:

  1. Objective & Scope of the Project.
  2. Theoretical Background.
  3. Definition of Problem.
  4. System Analysis & Design vis-ร -vis User Requirements.
  5. System Planning and Methodology adopted, System Implementation & Details of Hardware & Software used.
  6. Detailed Life Cycle of the Project. I. Architecture Design. II. Normalization(in case of Database) III. ERD, DFD, DD, Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, whichever is applicable. IV. Input and Output Screen Design. V. Gantt Charts. VI. Process involved. VII. Methodology used for testing. VIII. Test Report, Printout of the Reports. IX. System Maintenance & Evaluation. X. User/Operational Manual - including security aspects, access rights, back up, controls, etc. (with snap shots). XI. Limitations. XII. Conclusion. XIII. Bibliography: a. Books/ Journals b. Web sites/ e-books/ reference links.
