Characters Describe the characters.

  • Traits? Feelings?
  • Relationship with others?
  • Motivation and goals? Problem and Solution Describe the problem in the story.
  • Why is it a problem?
  • How does the problem affect the characters?
  • What is its impact on the story? Describe how the problem is solved.
  • How does the character solve the problem?
  • Does it work right away? Lesson Learned Describe the lesson.
  • Think about how the problem is solved. What does the character learn from this?
  • Does the character change?
  • What can you (the reader) learn?

Reading & Thinking Questions: Here are some comprehension questions for young readers to use as they read.
