THRIVING IN COLLEGE
When stretched for so long
Reflection
The webinar is more of a personal development. It was all about pursuing what we want to
be despite all the hindrance and hardships we will encounter in college. There are three (3)
keys that were discussed; we deal with our losses with a twist, what do you want, and
describe your day in detail when what you want is already there.
The key number one, we deal with our losses with a twist. In this time of pandemic, many
people loss their loved ones and their jobs because of covid-19. Fortunately, I am not one
of those people, but staying at home for almost two years and limiting our interaction with
others has a significant impact on me because my social anxiety has worsened, to the point
that I can't even interact with my classmates in the group chat because I get anxiety attack.
I have lost my confidence as well, but I am trying my best to cope with it. As a college
student, confidence is necessary for me to survive. This key reminded me that my family is
my inspiration, and that despite my struggles, I still have goals to achieve.
Key number two, what do you want. I can do a lot of things but I don’t excel at any of them,
it’s like I’m always average in everything I do, and it made me uncertain of what I want to be
or what career path I should pursue. I promised myself to have a career that would make
me excited to wake up in the morning, and I chose this course because I wanted to help the
community. I believe BSCD will be a great help for me to acquire knowledge and skills that I
can use in the future. This key was quite helpful to me, as of now, I am certain that the
career path I will pursue will provide me with a sense of fulfillment and success in

life. Key number three, describe your day in detail when what you want is already there. During the webinar, we are given three (3) minutes to silently answer a series of questions. Upon answering those questions, it excites me about my future job and have the courage to thrive in college in order to achieve my goals and call myself as a successful person. To sum up, if we want to reach our goals, we must face the difficulties that we will experience along the way; this will allow us to learn new things and become the best version of ourselves. Regardless of the difficulties, we must take a step forward because it will make a huge impact on our way to success. We have what it takes to succeed!
