NETWORK ANALYSIS FOR HOSPITAL INFORMATON SYSTEM USING
GEOINFORMATICS TECHNIQUE: A CASE STUDY OF RAIPUR CITY

ABSTRACT: Due to the rapid rate of industrialization and urbanization in India, the transport network
becomes massive and complicated. Finding desire location is very difficult task so it should be very
necessary to build a traffic network for urban utility services for urban wellbeing. Here geographical
information system (GIS) plays a vital role for urban utility services, planning monitoring and decision
making. The aim of the present study to find out the hospital information and build a traffic network in
Raipur City for utilizing the hospital services. Shortest route and closest facility is the main requirement
for emergency cases. This problem is even more important for the people who are unfamiliar with Raipur
city. And also, people are not able to select which one is the suitable or specialized for the particular case.
Hospital information was collected by GPS survey and divided in to three categories on the basis of
services and also being categorized with their specialization. This hospital information network may help
us to consume time and to make the right decision.
