METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the methods of the study. It consists of research design,
research locale, research respondents, research instruments, data gathering procedure,
statistical treatment of data, and the scoring or parameter use.
Research design
This study is correlational quantitative research. Therefore, the study used the
correlational research design in order for the researchers to determine if there is a
significant relationship between utilizing video tutorials in improving the problem-solving
skills of students in the subject General Physics. To generate the data, a survey
questionnaire was used to gather or elicit the needed information on the different
variables or objectives considered in the study including the respondents’ profile.
This study is about the effectiveness of using video tutorials in learning general
physics to Grade 12 students under Science, Technology, Engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) course in Senior high of selected schools in Cortes. The
researcher thought that this is the appropriate method to use for it involved some
comparison and analysis on data gathered. The researcher desired that the findings of
this study will determine the students’ perspective about their challenges and level of
difficulty in learning the subject, and it will also enhance the students’ problem-solving
skills.
