A descriptive research design to identify the impact of the pandemic on grade 11 students of Panpacific University. The study randomly selected 48 students from STEM, HUMSS, and MARITIME strands. The researchers used survey questionnaires to determine the student's profile and their participation level. The collected data were analyzed using frequency counts, percentage, and weighted mean. The study aimed to identify the difficulties encountered by the students during oral recitation and the significant difference between the demographic profile and the difficulties encountered.

METHODOLOGY
Research Design
The researcher uses descriptive research design to identify the impact of
pandemic in grade 11 students of Panpacific University. According to Sumit et al.
(2021) “Descriptive research design is a type of research design that aims to
systematically obtain information to describe a phenomenon, situation, or
population. More specifically, it helps answer the what, when, where, and how
questions regarding the research problem rather than the why.”
Population and Locale of the Study
The researcher selected grade 11 students randomly which consists of
twenty-one (16) girls and twenty-one (20) boys for STEM strand, HUMSS has four
(4) girls and nine (5) boys, while MARITIME has four (3) boys total of forty-eight
(48) students. We chose grade 11 as our respondents, because whatever the
result and recommendations of this study can be applied for the future
generations.4
Data Gathering Tools
The researchers would use survey questionnaires, which were adapted
from the study of Moneva (2020) entitled “Class Size and Students’ Anxiety in
Oral Recitation” to determine the student’s profile and their participation level to
identify the difference on their participation level. The researcher uses a set of
questions that would identify the impact of the pandemic in grade 11 students of
Panpacific University. The mean was interpreted using the 5-point Likert Scale
shown in Table 1.

students during oral recitation.

Numerical Equivalent Weighted Descriptive Equivalent 4 4.00-3.51 Always 3 3.50-2.51 Often 2 2.50-1.51 Sometimes 1 1.00-1.50 Never Data Gathering Procedures Permission would be taken from the Research Director to be followed by SBE Principal. After the approval the researcher moved to classroom to conduct a survey. The researcher would distribute the survey questionnaire to the fifty- nine (59) selected respondents using google form through their university email to facilitate the collection of the data and to ensure the confidentiality of the respondent’s response. After the retrieval of the accomplished questionnaires, responses would be interpreted, and analyzed. Treatment of Data For Objective No. 1, the collected data from the survey helped the researchers to determine the demographic profile of the Grade 11 students. The result would also be analyzed using frequency counts and percentage. For Objective No. 2, the data gathered from the survey informed the researcher about the difficulties encountered by the Grade 11 students during oral recitation. The researcher computed the weighted mean based on the responses of the tester. For Objective No. 3, the data gathered from the survey helped the researcher in identifying the significant difference between the demographic profile and the difficulties encountered by the Grade 11 students during oral
