Grade 10 Religion Culminating Performance Task
Your term mark for the semester will be reduced to 70%, and your CPT will make up the final
30%.
Task: You are to choose a current moral issue and you will be designing an infographic on this issue.
You may use any media presentation form (graphic poster, Power Point, Prezi, etc)
You may choose any current moral issue from the list provided in this document or you may
come up with one that is not on the list. However, your topic must be approved by the teacher
first!
You must record and keep track of all of your sources used in your research and planning.
Materials:
Computer/laptop (use any software platforms that you are comfortable and familiar with;
Power Point, Prezi, Graphic illustration posters, etc)
Internet
New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition of the Bible or (www.biblegateway.com)
Catechism of the Catholic Church (www.vatican.va)
Notes from Google Classroom from units 1,2,3,4,5.
Criteria:
1. You must introduce your moral issue by explaining it in your own words and presenting
arguments made on the issue, both for and against it, communicating your own commentary on
the issue
2. You must summarize the Catholic Church’s teaching on your chosen moral issue
3. You must locate a Scripture passage that refers to the issue (www.biblegateway.com)
4. You must connect the issue with a Catholic Social Teaching (refer to the notes in Unit 1 and 5)
5. You must compose or find a short prayer on the issue (refer to your notes in Unit 2)
6. You must research a Saint, or Holy Person, who is associated with the issue (Unit 5)
7. All of your information must be referenced!
8. Your information must be presented in a creative manner in a form of computer media. You are
expected to represent your information with images and graphics and be as creative and original
as possible.
Suggested Sources:
To locate scripture passages that relate to your moral issue you can find online versions of the
Bible in many languages. www.biblegateway.com is a great resource. It offers the New
International Version of the Bible in any language, and it also offers keyword searches. You may
type in keywords and it will find scripture passages that relates to your theme or topic.

 There are also many websites that will list and explain the Catholic Social teachings, and the Catholic church’s teachings on specific moral issues. Make sure that in your research you remember to reference all of your sources.
