LINKING VERBS

Be, been, being

Seem, feel , appear, become,

tastes, smells, sounds, remains.

PREDICATE ADJECTIVE

A predicate adjective is an adjective

that follows a linking verb and describes the subject.

The pep rally was loud.

“ loud ” is the predicate adjective

because it describes the subject.
