STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
How effective and efficient are the corn cob filters?
SUBPROBLEMS:
a) What is the relationship of the structure of the corn cobs in the water filtration?
b) On the scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest), how pure is the filtered water?
c) How many times can we use the corn cobs to filtrate unusable water before changing the
cobs?
d) Can we use the corn cob water filters even when corns are not in season?
e) Can we use the corn cobs that are discolored due to the exposure to rain?
ASSUMPTIONS HYPOTHESES
Corn cob water filters have the same
efficiency and effectivity with the
commercial water purifiers.
Corn cob water filters are more
affordable and convenient to the
farmers and residents of rural areas than
commercial water purifiers.
It takes an effort and a considerable
span of time to construct a corn cob
water filter.
When you will use a corn cob water
filter, there will be less corn cobs to be
wasted.
Since corn cobs are organic, the corn
cob filters are not harmful to the
environment.
Null Hypothesis:
There is no significant difference
between the corn cob filter and
commercial water purifiers.
Operational Hypothesis:
There is a significant difference between
the corn cob filter and commercial water
purifiers.
