Over the past years of being under the state of pandemic, the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) declared Blended Learning as the new educational strategy. College students from different universities believe that this is a great move for them to learn in these times of difficulties. Uno, (2011), states that blended learning is a term for mixing conventional learning models usually done face-to-face with internet network-based learning models and commonly known as e- learning. University of Eastern Philippines implemented blended learning as the new educational strategy. Blended learning is one of the modern ways of teaching the students. The school allow students to learn from modules, online classes, and limited face-to-face. Studying in distant school is one of the problems of the students. They lack of allowance which gives them difficulties in studying. One of the examples of the students who lack of budget or allowance are those students who are studying far away from their hometown. Some of them are the students of College of Agriculture, University of Eastern Philippines who live in Palapag, Gamay, and Mapanas. Since that municipalities do not have
load to attend their online classes and transportation expenses. This became the main reason why those students are having a hard time when it comes to their allowances. When there is a sudden payment, it become one of the reasons why many of the students have to budget their allowances so they can still go home at the end of the week. This report is conducted to know if the students of College of Agriculture in University of Eastern Philippines are experiencing hardships in budgeting their allowances during these new educational strategies. This will help them to be responsible when it comes to budgeting. This report is conducted to ensure how blended learning affects the weekly budget of every student when it comes to transportation expenses, food allowances, school related finances, and miscellaneous fees. Also, this report can serve as a reminder to the parents of these college students to understand them. College students in fact needs financial support. There are so many expenses that they are needed to pay. Dang and Bulus (2015) argued that education is a high-cost social service therefore insufficient financial support will be a problem for students to enhance themselves in academics thus leading to poor academic performance. Moreover, this will serve as a reminder to
every professor in College to reduce the projects or requirements that cost a lot. Objectives of the Study: This report aimed to examine the effect of blended learning to the weekly budget of the selected college students of College of Agriculture, University of Eastern Philippines.
