Test of Academic Skills (TEAS) - www.atitesting.com
The Test of Academic Skills is a required test for students submitting application to HACC Nursing Program.
The TEAS measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of reading, mathematics,
science and English and language usage. These entry level skills were deemed important for nursing program
applicants by a panel of nursing educators. The TEAS is a 170-item multiple choice test (20 unscored, pretest
items) with a 209 minute time limit.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE TEAS
We recommend you prepare for the TEAS so that you can achieve the best possible score.

There will be one copy of ATI TEAS Study Manual in the library of each campus for use ONLY on campus.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE TEAS AT HACC
Go to the ATI website and navigate to the online store (https://www.atitesting.com/ati_store/Default.aspx)
and click on “Register for TEAS”
Complete the registration and payment process by identifying your location, school testing location and
completing the payment process. Select TEAS for Nursing (or TEAS for Allied Health).
The cost of the TEAS taken at HACC is $89
You will receive an email confirmation with your receipt and testing session information.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE TEAS IF YOU LIVE OUT OF AREA
The TEAS is offered at PSI Test Centers. To register for the TEAS test, you will need to pay for the test on the
ATI website. Once you pay for the test on the ATI website, you will receive an email confirmation with
information on how to schedule your test date through the PSI website or by phone.
To purchase and schedule your TEAS test date:
Go to the ATI website, https://www.atitesting.com/ati_store/Default.aspx and click on “Register for TEAS at
PSI…” Choose PSI Test Site for TEAS Nursing.
Click on the Learn More to read important testing information.
Click on “Register” to complete payment. The cost of the TEAS at PSI is $115, which includes one
TEAS transcript sent to a school of choice. Please make sure to identify HACC to receive your
transcript.
Once you have paid, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your TEAS test
date at a PSI location.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Applicants to HACC Nursing program must achieve a TEAS cut (Composite/Percentage) score of 70 if
applying to the AD program and 60 if applying to the PN program.
In the event students want to remediate and retest, it is recommended to wait 45 days between tests so
remediation can take place. Students should not take more than 3 tests in an application period.
TEAS scores are valid for 3 years.
The TEAS test (and your score) is the same whether you indicate TEAS for Nursing or TEAS for Allied
Health.
