Slide 1: Good morning, everyone! My name is Ayah Mohammad. in todays’ presentation I will be talking
about time management. We will learn what time management means, how to manage it and what are
its benefits all while applying it to understand it better.
So, let’s start. I want you to imagine that you have a special type of bank account and every day, every
single day they deposit you this amount…86,400 pounds. Everyday. But the catch here is that you have
to spend it all, you cannot save it. Also, the amount will never change, it’s always 86,400 pounds. So how
will you spend it? why did I specifically choose this amount of money? It’s because in a day we have
86,400 seconds meaning 1 second is equal to 1 pound.
Okay so from what we have understood through our example, your time is very precious because a
person’s time is as valuable as money, meaning you have to spend every second on something. But what
will you spend your time on?
You need to spend your time on the important things and never let a second go by without making a
good use of it. so how can you manage your time as a student? Here are some suggestions made by
Harvard students.
First, you can get a calendar and arrange all of your lectures, plans, and activities according to their
schedule, I recommend using Google calendar because its cute and because it’s easy to use f I really
recommend it.
Second, you have to prioritize your assignments and activities from most important to least important so
you can stay organized and make sure that you leave nothing out.
Next, following a studying technique can help you in managing your time, a studying technique I
recommend is the pomodoro technique, it’s where you set a timer and work without any distractions and
then set another timer for a break, what this technique does is it makes you strictly focus on work and
strictly focusing in breaks which helps you in concentrating and organizing.
Finally, make sure while managing your time, you make time for yourself, personally, I like play among
us with my friends but you can do anything to get some rest. [click] This brings me to the end of the
presentation. But before I conclude, does anyone have any questions?
Let’s wrap up what we have learned today. We understood through our example that time is money and
that we, as students, need to manage our time so we can stay stress-free, organized, and productive.
We can manage our time by planning, arranging, following techniques and prioritizing. I hope that
today’s presentation was beneficial and informative for you. Thank you so much for your time.
