is the attitude that a character or narrator or author takes towards a given subject.

TONE

MOOD Mood is the general feeling or atmosphere that a piece of literature creates within the audience. Literary techniques are specific, deliberate constructions of language which an author uses to convey meaning.

an author‘s purpose is his reason for or intent in writing. An author‘s purpose may be to entertain the reader, to persuade the reader, to inform the reader, or to satirize a condition

Let’s read and find out "Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story": "Sa mundong ito, wala kang dapat asahan kundi ang hindi mo dapat pag-asahan." Mood-To emphasize self-reliance "Love You to the Stars and Back": "Gusto kong maniwala na may purpose 'tong paglalakbay natin." Literary Technique- Metaphor Line from "Never Not Love You": "Hindi sapat ang mahal mo lang siya. Dapat kaya mo rin siyang tiisin." Tone: Harsh Line from "Kita Kita": "Ang pagmamahal, parang cellphone. Bakit? Kasi, kung walang signal, wala kang maririnig." Purpose: To evoke humor, Ma’am.

To sum it up...

tone, mood , techniques and purpose is all about creating an emotion to a piece of literature in the audience's mind by using words that appeal to us.
