II. Application
1. For Girls: How was your experience the first time you had your menarche or first
menstruation? Were you afraid? How did you cope with your feeling of
awkwardness/negativity, especially since it was accompanied by bodily changes?
From my experience, I was a little bit shocked and bewildered at first, I remembered that
time I hurriedly called my mom and asked her about the little red spot on my underwear and she
told me that it was a sign that I will have my first menstrual period. I was a little afraid at first
because I didn’t know what I should I do and how to handle the situation but luckily my mother
told me about the things that a girl should do when she will have her menstruation period.
I somehow slowly coped up with my feeling of awkwardness because it’s not really that bad
to have a menstruation. The things that I only did is that I became conscious on what I should do
and what should I eat because if I became too careless on my movements there will be a
possibility that I will have a red stain on my clothes due to too much blood that is flowing out of
my body and if I will not be careful on what I eat it will affect my menstruation period. As my
