1. For Girls: How was your experience the first time you had your menarche or first
menstruation? Were you afraid? How did you cope with your feeling of
awkwardness/negativity, especially since it was accompanied by bodily changes?
From my experience, I was a little bit shocked and bewildered at first, I remembered that
time I hurriedly called my mom and asked her about the little red spot on my underwear and she
told me that it was a sign that I will have my first menstrual period. I was a little afraid at first
because I didn’t know what I should I do and how to handle the situation but luckily my mother
told me about the things that a girl should do when she will have her menstruation period.
I somehow slowly coped up with my feeling of awkwardness because it’s not really that bad
to have a menstruation. The things that I only did is that I became conscious on what I should do
and what should I eat because if I became too careless on my movements there will be a
possibility that I will have a red stain on my clothes due to too much blood that is flowing out of
my body and if I will not be careful on what I eat it will affect my menstruation period. As my

body changes due to slowly becoming a lady or an adult, I slowly accepted it and told myself that I will be always beautiful no matter what or how many changes my body will face and it I always think that changes are not bad because it will be a sign that I will become a lady or I am becoming an adult.

  1. Do you have a crush now? A boyfriend/girlfriend? How are you dealing/managing with your emotions? Do you consult your parents? Friends? Classmates about it? When it comes to crushes, I will say that I have a lot of men that I like especially those actors or famous model online. Also, when we talk about boyfriend well, I clearly don’t have as of the moment and I am not looking for one. I am still focusing on my studying and my future career. As a matter of fact, my mother is very strict to me when it comes to having a boyfriend because for her, that time will come in the future, the only thing that I must do is to wait and focus on things that is more important right now which is to finish my course and to land on a decent job. Furthermore, I am dealing well with my emotion, I sometimes share what I felt and think to my friends so that they will able to give me some advices on what should I do. In terms of telling, it to my parents, I rarely share things to them especially about my emotions due to the reason that I am scared that they will scold me and tell me some things that is contrary on what I like to do. I am afraid that if that thing will happen, I will not be able to control my emotions and I will talk back to them which is the thing that I am always avoiding to happen. I don’t really share things with my classmates due to the fact that I am scared that if I will say things to them, they will share it to their other friends and they will talk about my weakness and make me a laughing stock. In my case, I am really being careful of whom I will trust with my secrets and emotions due to the fact that nowadays you can’t just trust anyone because they might ruin your image and share your secrets and weaknesses to the other people behind your back. I am dealing with my emotions by being calm when the situation that I am in is worst and I always remind myself that I must think thoroughly if I will say something especially when I am angry or sad because I will not be able to take it back. Let’s Reflect Think-Pair-Share Do you believe in the old maxim “Love at first sight?” Why or why not? Love at first sight is a personal experience wherein a person feels an instant, extreme, and ultimately long-lasting romantic attraction for a stranger upon first seeing that stranger. As a matter of fact, I actually believe in love at first sight. Just by imagining that it will happen to me in the future I can feel the tingling sensation of butterflies in my stomach. Some people said that if it happens to a person, sometimes their world will stop moving and the only thing that they are focus on is the person that they are looking at and that will be the most exciting and romantic moment that will happen to a person. It feels like you’re are in a movie or a book.
