USA must withdraw from Afghanistan
First of all the question is that why I chose this column? The answer of this question is very
simple.
There is a close relationship between the inhabitants of Pakistan and Afghanistan. We share
a long boundary of 2250km with Afghanistan. The people living in tribal areas of Pakistan
and some other parts of NWFP have family connections in Afghanistan. Pakistan’s
economy has been also affected when USA came to Afghanistan in 2001. A large number
of refuges find safe heaven in Pakistan. Peace and stability of the whole region is dependent
on Afghanistan’s situation.
USA is a nation which doesn’t learn lesson from past.USA is repeating the same
mistakes in Afghanistan which it committed in Vietnam.USA is going for a humiliating
defeat in Afghanistan. One day USA will order the complete withdrawal of forces from
Afghanistan. Afghan is a nation which does not accept foreign occupation. The example of
Soviet Union is here to guide us.
Top level command of USA is saying that “the situation in Afghanistan is
getting from bad to worse”. Taliban are getting stronger and they are also acquiring fame,
because afghan neither trust karma nor NATO forces.
2009 has proved deadly for NATO. The public opinion of countries which are
allies of USA in afghan war had changed. They are not willing to fight this purposeless war.
A group of people thought that USA occupied Afghanistan to get control over the resources
of central Asia. But I personally think that America occupied Afghanistan to increase
pressure on Pakistan. Pakistan is the ultimate goal for USA, either Bush is in white house or
Osama is there.
USA had failed to achieve its goal in Afghanistan. So called war on terror was
started in October 7, 2001.The aim of this war is to find Osama bin laden and other high
rank command of Al-Qaeda. We all know the achievements of USA in Afghanistan. From
2001 to 2009 USA has used huge sums of money to find Osama but she can’t.63000 troops
are here in Afghanistan, but USA is unable to arrest a single top commander of Al-Qaeda.
Now obama has a few options about Afghanistan.
To increase ground troops
To increase drone attacks
To get support of some Taliban leaders.
