Instructions for Activity 2 in English III at the International Marketing School of the University of El Salvador. The objective is to evaluate students' ability to use the present perfect tense in both written and oral communication. The activity includes creating questions using the present perfect tense and vocabulary from Unit 2, as well as recording a short video for the oral part. The document also includes a rubric for evaluating the performance.

Guidelines for evaluated activity 2. 10%
Objective: To measure students´ ability to use the
present perfect tense expressing in both written and
oral communication by asking and answering
questions with the structures since/for and
ever/never accordingly.
Instructions:
Read carefully this document and take into account the guidelines to carry out this evaluated
activity. This activity will be divided into two parts; oral and written.
Part 1. Oral production
The oral part will take the form of a short video. You must record the video using mp4 format.
The following video-tutorial may be useful if you have recorded your video using other formats

General guidelines:
Video Quality: Record your video in a well-properly lit place such as an office, study
room, meeting room, keep the place clean from any distractor, and a professional
environment. If possible, use a video-recording camera or cellphone with a high definition
camera so that your face and additional material can be seen. The additional material can
be presentations, charts, flashcards, etc. Besides, make sure to avoid any type of
interruptions when recording your video, make sure the video has audio and that the
written part is attached. Note that the vide must last 3 minutes minimum. This activity
will be in pairs. The tutor will decide how you will be organized.
Oral expression: The correct use the present perfect tense will be evaluated as part of the
grammatical competencies involved in the speaking activity. However, this evaluation is not
limited to the use of the present perfect tense. In fact, all other aspects of the language will be
considered; for example, verb tense, subject-verb agreement, etc. The following links may be

use to articulate your sentences will be evaluated. To get the highest score, all words must be

Fluency: Practice as many times as possible so you can get the fluency that is required for this level. The idea is that you sound natural when you use the language as though you were using your native tongue, same pace, tone, and intonation. Hesitation will be considered a lack of fluency.

Vocabulary: Please read unit 2 so you can include the vocabulary in your presentation such as regular and irregular verbs, sports, yet, since, etc. The criterion will analyze if you use vocabulary according to the level and unit 2 of the content.

Preparedness: There are 5 aspects of evaluation. If you comply with all of them, you will get the highest score in this category, which is 5. However, if you don´t comply with any of them, you will get the lowest score, you will get 0. 1. The student doesn´t readanything. 2. He/she keeps constant eye contact with the camera.

  1. He/she uses creative visual aids. 4. He/she keeps outstanding body language.
    1. He/she sent the activity on time(due date).

Part 2. Written document

Written work- Grammar: The written document will be evaluated. For you to get the highest score, it is recommended that you proofread and revise your work before handing it in. The lowest score will be 0 if more than 12 mistakes are found.

Written content: Make sure you write sentences using the structure of the Present perfect with since, for, ever and never.

Mechanics: Make sure to write avoiding spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mistakes. To help you on this aspect, the following videos might be useful for you: Reglas de puntuación. Cuando utilizar Mayúsculas y minúsculas.

Plagiarism: Avoid by all means to copy and paste information from website or other sources. If full or partial form of plagiarism is found, the lowest score will apply on this sections.

Work format : Please follow the following guidelines to write your work. Name of the PDF document: last name and first name- situs- activity 2. For example Hernández Jonathan-Ahuachapán- Activity 2. Also, include: Front page Letter size 12 Type of font: Times New Roman Margins: Superior: 3 cm. ● Izquierdo: 4 cm. ● Inferior: 3 cm. ● Derecho: 2 cm.

Explanation about how you your performance will be graded Firstly, the rubric for this activity has 11 criteria. The highest score you can get is 5 points per criterion. Therefore, the global score is 55 points. On the other hand, the minimum score you can get is zero “0”. In order to get the grade, 10 will be divided by 55points= 10/55= 0.1818; then, this score will be multiplied by the total number of points you get taking into account all criteria. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you read the rubric and the guidelines before carrying out this activity.
