Durante las clases de inglés, cuando los alumnos relacionan conceptos previos con nuevas ideas para generar nuevo conocimiento, están ejerciendo el proceso creativo. Durante los primeros años de vida, los niños aprenden las palabras básicas y descubren el enorme potencial de la comunicación oral, en ese momento su capacidad creativa se concentra en el lenguaje; como aún no conocen las normas léxicas, echan mano de la imaginación y el ingenio para darse a entender. Algo similar ocurre con el inglés como segunda lengua: los jóvenes aprenden nuevos códigos lingüísticos que les permiten comunicarse en otro idioma, y aunque ahora tienen la ventaja de contar con su lengua materna como referencia, siguen necesitando actividades creativas que les permitan apropiarse del idioma. Las actividades o ejercicios de inglés para secundaria hacen que los adolescentes puedan acceder a entornos
