Different models of bionic eyes aim at different targets areas in the vision pathway, currently, retinal implants are their only approved and commercially available bionic eyes, althought corneal transplants can replace the cornea and lens if the structures are cloudy or otherwise unable to focus light. In our opinion, if this technology evolves, it would help many blind people who's had accidents or to the people who wants to feel for the first time something as wonderful as light, this would give us the most meaning to life such as for them, because if this happens we should definitely keep an "eye" on it.
