Introduction: In this essay it is based on the central theme about how much emphasis is placed on qualifications and exams, in the same way, explanatory reasons will be written about why I consider this emphasis as something good or bad, for its due study. Finally, a conclusion will be developed in which the answer to this hypothesis will be determined. Body: As a first point, exams continue to be the most popular method when evaluating the knowledge learned by the student in each of the subjects of the course. Through them, it is decided whether a student has achieved the goals set at the beginning of the school year. In the traditional class method, the teacher stands in front of the class, explains the lesson prepared for that day, gives homework to do at home and, at the end of the term or the course, takes an exam to measure which students have achieved the objectives and which have not. However, most members of the educational community have confused "grading with evaluation” and have assimilated evaluation with a figure that appears in the report card at the end of the term, which is a bit frustrating for many of the students. For this reason, studies have been carried out, where they point out that many of the teachers find final exams useful because "they have the particular strength of forcing students to review the material, think critically about what they have read and even talk among themselves. colleagues on the relevant topics. All of this improves learning.” Conclution:
To conclude, we can say that one of the most important factors in making exams an effective tool is to provide students with fully focused study. “Preparing for the final exam can mean great learning if we provide students with the information they need to study efficiently”, which is why I consider that the emphasis placed on grades and exams is a good thing, since It teaches us to compete with ourselves, giving us more desire to want to make an effort, to achieve goals such as passing or approving with a good score.
