1. Which would be the key moments in Alison’s life or actions taken by her, that, in your opinion, were relevant to understand her life course?
Alison’s life has been marked by unfortunate events since its beginning, obligating her to do different acts in order to survive.
Firstly, Alison lost his mother when she was only a preteen due to a heart attack. Such an accident resulted in Alison going to live with her grandparents. This led to childhood neglect and trauma, and because of an early exposure to family instability, Alison set a foundation of emotional insecurity and low self-worth, which she carried all his life.
Secondly, Alison started offending at a young age, which ended with her being put into a children's home at 13, where she met a guy, who she ended up going out with for about a year. Nevertheless, the breaking point was when he stabbed her several times at only 15 years old. When she was released from the hospital, she started using drugs, principally smoking cigarettes or bottle cinder.
Another important action would be the friends she associated herself with. She was always with delinquent peers, who only reinforced her criminal and drugaddict behaviour. Or his first interaction with real imprisonment, which really materialised her “criminal” label.
Once she got out, she ended up pregnant after going out with a man she met at a bar, a man who was unstable and dangerous to both mother and child. She then started using again, and, not only that, but she started selling her body for money.
Another key moment would be when her anxiety started because of being sexually assaulted by his cousin and his friend. This probably destabilized her the most. And, because she didn’t want to use drugs again, she drowned her sorrows in alcohol. Or when she got reunited with her partner and he started abusing her, which resulted in her relapse.
At this point, Alison's life started being a constant circle of reoffending to enable her consumption and getting in and out of prison.
2. Identify in the comic between three to five criminological theories, and justify their importance to explain and understand Alison's life.
We can see that there are different criminological theories that can be related to Alison’s life.
Firstly, we have seen how different types of interactions as well as actions, accidents have changed Alison’s curse of life. This could be explained with the Social Learning-Differential Association Theory, which explains that the simple act of offending is given by the diverse interactions the individual has with situations, people…
Another one would be the Strain Theory, it is based on the positive and negative factors that influence a person when committing crimes. Different types of situations led Alison to start offending, such as the death of her mother or the fact that she wasn’t helped in her deepest moments pushed her to start looking for other ways to cope.

Thirdly, we have the Labelling Theory, which consists of a social process in which individuals point out and label behaviors that are considered socially deviant. In the comic we can see how she slowly started labelling herself as "criminal” due to the stigma. Moreover, the lack of aid and resources pushed her even more into this label, making rehabilitation a difficult process.
Then, we have the feminist Criminology, which explains how gender and victimisation interact, the constant abuse and oppression shows how hard women have to fight in order to survive. And, not only that, but having to endure harsh situations because of an unfair justice system, like abusers not being punished, like her partner.
Finally, we have Life-Course Criminology, which explains that offenders need to be studied throughout their lives, we have to contextualise and analyse all their paths to understand where they are coming from. In this case we can see that Alison’s life has been through multiple situations that eventually led her to relapsing and reoffending.
3. Detect and describe different victimisation episodes in Alison’s life, according to the comic.
There are diverse moments in which Alison is not treated as the victim due to different circumstances. Firstly, we have her first time being arrested, because we can clearly see that her mental condition was not taken into account, which was an important fact as to why she was offending. She was just a lost girl without anyone in the world coming from a bad situation, her mother’s death.., and, even if this is obviously not a justification, we have to contextualise her in order to publish her fairly and know what to do to not have her in the future reoffending. Maybe with a good mental health specialist she could have had a different path. Which also leads us to another point, Because of her childhood neglect, she growps up feeling unloved and unwanted. This eventually explodes with her having such a low self-esteem and creates a constant search for validation, which she often has from unhealthy relationships or deviant peers.
Secondly, we have the lack of justice for her domestic abuse case. She was being abused by him and had to endure seeing him not being punished for it, which eventually led her to relapse in drinking to cope with that fact. Or his rapist, when he was freed, her anxiety began because she was insecure and had a sense of terror all the time. Or, just after being freed, she faces stigmas from other people due to this system, she has problems finding a home, a job or even some type of empathy.
Then, we have her structural instability, such as poverty, being raped and addictions perpetuated by systems inequality led to Alison not receiving the best of the treats. Which ended with her labelling herself as a “criminal”, one without a point of return, and just accepting her fate of life, and having to live like that.
4. How could the system help Alison to success with the rehabilitation and reintegration process? Suggest an intervention plan from a criminological perspective.
In the comic we can see that Alison’s life is marked by a deep entanglement between trauma, social exclusion, and criminalisation. She should have been seen not as an evil criminal with
