GENERAL PROVISIONS Working nursing practice is carry out in accordance with the curriculum, passing of nursing practice provided in July, after the end of VI semester, when a student acquired adequate knowledge of the main basic disciplines: medical biology, medical and biological physics, human anatomy, physiology, organic and biological chemistry, microbiology, virology and immunology. Also after student complete study of clinical disciplines: propaedeutics of internal medicine, propedeutics of pediatrics and general Surgery with which integrates nursing practice. The volume of nursing practice is 1.5 credit (1 week). During practice students perform duties of middle medical personnel on the basis of stationary units of therapeutic departments of regional, city and district health facilities. Students work 6 hours a day for 5 days, in their free time perform independent work. In the department must be students timetable. Direct managers of students practice are nurses. Student before arriving at practice must receive instruction from Supervisor of practice from department and receive program and diary of practice; referral to practice. The student arrived in health care facility (HCF) must submit to the Supervisor from the base diary of practice, pass safety training, refine the plan of practical training. During practical training student is obliged to strictly comply internal regulations of HCF. The report about the practice student makes in accordance with the timetable of practical training and additional instructions of Supervisors from the university and from HCF. Practical training of student is rated on a four - point system and taken into account as the other subjects of the curriculum (educational plan). A student who has not fulfilled the requirements of practice and received a negative feedback about work or unsatisfactory mark (failing
grade) during the defense of final report is subject to expulsion from the University. The aim of practical training from nursing practice is to achieve the main final goals, defined in the educational and professional program of training specialist by specialties 7.110101 "Medicine" and is the basis of building content for working practice. Final goals of the nursing practice: Master the principles of professional subordination in system "Doctor - nurse", communication skills with patients of all ages and their relatives, communication skills with incurable patient and their families. Master the skills of work organization of the nurse from reception and general therapeutic department, professional skills of manipulation nurse, nurse of procedural cabinet and the cabinet of functional diagnostics of therapeutic department, nursing skills necessary for carrying out diagnostic process and performing the necessary nursing procedures. Specific goals of the nursing practice:
- determine the content of nursing practice and its role in the general therapeutic actions;
- demonstrate the skills of filling documentation which maintained a nurse in different units of therapeutic hospital;
- demonstrate the skills of thermometry conducting, measurement of blood pressure, pulse and entering the information to temperature leaf;
- demonstrate skills of taking complete blood count, blood sugar content, the biochemical and bacteriological tests;
- demonstrate skills of performance subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular and intravenous injections;
- demonstrate skills of compilation and fill in a system for intravenous drip of drugs, conducting intravenous drip of drugs;
- demonstrate skills of preparation a manipulation table to work;
- demonstrate skills of disinfection, cleaning presterilization of tools, implementation of quality control of presterilization cleaning of instruments from blood and detergents, conducting sterilization of instruments for repeated use;
- demonstrate the skills of preparing the patient for conducting gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound of the abdomen;
- demonstrate the skills of conducting the simplest physiotherapeutic procedures and care of patients during their implementation;
- demonstrate skills of ECG recording and interpretation of results;
- demonstrate skills of the basic techniques of resuscitation;
- demonstrate the skills of First aid in case of poisoning, heat and sunstroke, in case of drowning at electric trauma;
CONTENTS OF PRACTICE
The list of practical skills which should master third year student of the medical faculty at the passing of nursing practice :
- Filling the medical records, that belongs to the duty of a nurse of therapeutic department.
- (^) Prescribing and account of strong acting and narcotic drugs.
- Provision of patients with drugs in accordance of prescription sheet.
- Collecting sterile syringe from kraft package, sterilizer, from instrumental table, disposable. Taking drugs from vials and bottles.
- Performing intradermal and subcutaneous injections.
- Using insulin syringe. Performing calculations of insulin dose and input of insulin.
- Holding intramuscular injection (dissolution, calculation of dose and administration of antibiotics).
- Imposition of wiring harness and performance of venipuncture, phlebotomy, intravenous administration of drugs. Conducting blood collection from a vein for laboratory studies (bacteriological, biochemical).
- Drafting and filling systems for intravenous infusions. Intravenous drip input of drugs.
- Preparation of patient for the probing of stomach by fractional method using enteral and parenteral stimuli, to duodenal sounding (three- and five-phase). Technique of this instrumental studies.
- Preparation of the patient and participation in the X-ray study of the stomach, intestines, cholecystography, urography.
- Preparation of the patient and participation in bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy and proctosigmoidoscope.
- Conducting presterilization cleaning of instruments with quality control of presterilization processing of tools.
- Sterilization of medical instruments, dressing material and subjects of care, control of sterilization.
- Conducting sampling smears from the throat and nose, collecting of sputum for study, feces and urine sampling for different types of research.
- Providing emergency care to patients with heart pain, swoon, attack of cardiac asthma, cough, dyspnea, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage, gastrointestinal bleeding, vomiting and aspiration of vomit.
- Setting enema.
- The introduction of drugs into the ears, nose, eyes.
- (^) Registration of electrocardiogram.
- Imposition of compresses, mustard plasters and cans.
- Application of technology of oxygen supply from an oxygen pillow, through a nasal catheter.
- Using different types of inhalers.
- Feeding of critically ill.
- Conducting indirect heart massage and artificial pulmonary ventilation.
Criteria for evaluation of practical skills:
- performance of practical skills without errors - 5 points ,
- performance of practical skills with some failings, corrected by a student - 4 points ,
- performance of practical skills with failings, corrected by teacher - 3 points ,
- failed practical skills - 0 points.

skills Final control of PRACTICE
Prior to final control of practice, allowed students who received for practical skills from a certain type of practice, not less than 72 points, presented a report for the practice and positive characteristics of general manager of the basis of practice.
Final control, according to the requirements practice program, students make up at the last day of practice. The Commission consists from Head of Practice from University and, if possible, Head of Practice from bases of practice.
