Members: Joselyn Vinces Thalia Garay Barbara García Jhonatan Suconota PROFESSOR : Lcda. Maribel Barreto Huilcapi, Mg Topic: Digestive system OBJECTIVE : Understand, analyze, review and learn terms about the digestive system related to the English subject
PROFESSOR : Lcda. Maribel Barreto Huilcapi, Mg What is the digestive system? The digestive system is made up of the gastrointestinal tract, also called the digestive tract, and the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The gastrointestinal tract is a series of hollow organs joined in a long, twisting tube that runs from the mouth to the anus. The hollow organs that make up the gastrointestinal tract are the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus. The liver, pancreas, and gallbladder are the solid organs of the digestive system.
PROFESSOR : Lcda. Maribel Barreto Huilcapi, Mg
The development of the primitive gut and its derivatives is generallybreaks down into 3 or 4 sections (according to the literature reviewed):

Regional specification of the digestive tube into distinct components occurs during the period when the lateral body folds approach each other on each side of the tube. The regional specification, that is, the determination of what is going to develop from the primitive tissue, begins with a concentration gradient of retinoic acid SOX 2 → Esophagus and stomach PDX 1 → Duodenum CDXC → Small Intestine CDXA → Large Intestine and Rectum This interaction begins through the expression of SHH (Sonic Hedgehog)
PROFESSOR : Lcda. Maribel Barreto Huilcapi, Mg Activity 1
1. What is formed during the gastrulation stage? a) The three germ layers are formed in the embryo, which are the precursor structures of all embryonic tissues. b) During gastrulation, the bilaminar embryonic disc becomes a trilaminar embryonic disc. c) Gastrulation begins with the formation of the primitive streak on the surface of the epiblast. d) The axial orientation is established.
PROFESSOR : Lcda. Maribel Barreto Huilcapi, Mg Activity 2
Large Intestine and Rectum Esophagus and stomach Small Intestine Duodenum
The organs that make up the digestive system
Mouth parts Parts of the tongue
Esophagus Stomach parts
Small intestine parts (^) Large intestine parts
ACTIVITIES mouth esophagus small intestine pancreas Liver large intestine anus stomach
ACTIVITIES What is the name of the serous membrane that covers the organs found in the abdominal cavity?
PROCESS OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM ORAL CAVITY : chewing and salivation The teeth help to chop the food, it mixes with the help of the tongue and saliva -- it forms the food bolus
PROCESS OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM PHARYNX : A tube that connects the mouth to the esophagus (^) Epiglossis closes the entrance of the food bolus to the respiratory tract. ESOPHAGUS : transports the food bolus to the stomach through involuntary movements to push the food bolus..
