Check the news on social networks or newscasts?
Nowadays people can check the news easily trough their phones, whereas in the past it was
only posible through newscasts or physical newspapers. However, there are many means to
get the news through mobile phones, such as social media or specific newscasts. In this essay
we will compare this two ways.
On the one hand, social media are one of the easiest ways to get the news. Almost everybody
uses them, so you can know the current news by just login in this social sites. Nevertheless,
fake news are very common on this sites, which makes people not to trust this websites.
On the other hand, news websites use to be truthful and the best way to check the news.
Information in this sites are usually verified before being published. However, there are some
cons about this websites. For example, many of them makes users to pay a subscription so
they can browse the site freely.
In my opinion, the best option is through specific news sites, because they are more
trustworthy and veracious than Social Media news, but I think it is up to each user to choose
the best option for them.
To sum up the Social Media are not a bad way to check the news, but it is believed that it is
better to get them from news websites, because they are more reliable than Social media
news.
