1. THE VERB TO BE.
1a) Copy and answer the following question: What is the verb to be for?
We use the verb to be to express age, nationality, religion, occupation, location
and description.
1b) Write 3 questions, 3 affirmative statements, and 3 negative sentences
using the verb to be. (use is, am, are)
1- Is this your car?
2- Am I right?
3- Is she a doctor?
1- Im Mexican.
2- You´re a cool partner.
3- He’s at work.
1- You’re not students.
2- She´s not my wife.
3- They’re not on holidays.
2. THE PRESENT SIMPLE.
2a) Copy and answer this question: What is the present simple for?
We use the present simple to express hobbies, routines and daily activities.
2b) Write 3 sentences telling about your daily activities. (1 affirmative, 1
negative, and 1 interrogative)
1- I always wake up at 7 o’clock in the morning.
2- I don’t walk my dog at 3 pm.
3- Do you often study at night?

1. THE VERB TO BE.

1a) Copy and answer the following question: What is the verb to be for?

We use the verb to be to express age, nationality, religion, occupation, location and description.

1b) Write 3 questions, 3 affirmative statements, and 3 negative sentences

using the verb to be. (use is , am , are )

1 - Is this your car? 2 - Am I right? 3 - Is she a doctor? 1 - I’m Mexican. 2 - You´re a cool partner. 3 - He’s at work. 1 - You’re not students. 2 - She´s not my wife. 3 - They’re not on holidays.

2. THE PRESENT SIMPLE.

1 - I´m reading today´s English activities. 2 - I´m not watching TV. 3 - Am I paying attention to the teacher?

4. PRESENT CONTINUOUS VS BE GOING TO.

4) Copy the following examples and explanations:

*I am going to my school. (I´m going to my school right at this moment )

*I am going to go to my school. (I´m going to go to my school later

during the day )

5. TELLING ABOUT FUTURE PLANS.

5) Copy the following information and examples about future plans using

present continuous.

English speakers often use the present continuous tense ( subject + 'be'

= verb-ing ) to talk about future arrangements. A future arrangement is

a plan that you have decided and organized with another person.

We can use the present continuous to talk about future arrangements. *I'm visiting my grandparents tomorrow. *We aren't going to school today. *What are you doing tonight? *I'm having a party tonight. *My brother is getting married tomorrow. *I'm not doing anything this evening. *He isn't going out with his friends tomorrow
