Introduction
PEST analysis is a tool that helps companies discover how certain factors can benefit
or affect them as an organisation.
PEST is an acronym for Political, Economic, Social and Technological. Knowing
these 4 aspects of a company is essential, as it allows the company to know in what context it
is going to carry out its operations, the difficulties or benefits that it will face.
In the present work, the company chosen to carry out the PEST analysis is Villa
Andina S.A.C.

In the present work, the company chosen to carry out the PEST analysis is Villa Andina S.A.C.

This company is an agro-industry in charge of the processing and commercialization of natural products offered by our country, Peru. It was founded in 2007 and its objective was to link the international market with the low-income agricultural communities that exist throughout the Peruvian territory. To date, this company has generated more jobs to more than thousands of people, with a fixed land and without the need to change their usual agricultural work. On the other hand, it seeks to provide and export better quality Peruvian products to other countries thanks to technology and manpower. The reason why we chose this company is because as a group, we wanted to relate with a Peruvian company that is dedicated to the export of good quality products to other countries. While it is true that there are millions of international companies for which we would find better information, but there is nothing better choice than a national company. PEST Analysis of the “Andina Villa” Company 2.1 Historical review Villa Andina was founded in 2007 by Julio Gamboa, whose purpose was to develop organic food products and contribute to healthy consumption. This agro-industrial company is characterized by the export production of its products divided into 3 categories: Andean grains, cocoa derivatives and dehydrated superfoods. The company has a range of products of Peruvian origin that generates sustainability and preservation of bioversity, contributes to agricultural communities and their families, which performs the production and marketing of its products in a responsible manner and

  • Political uncertainty plays an important role, because if it is not stabilized, it will scare away possible investments in the country and job opportunities may be at risk. 2.4.2 E is for Economic Regarding Villa Andina on the economic side is a company that seeks to promote and give back with the process and final result of their products, as well as marketing them contribute to the country's economy and meets the needs of the consumer because it meets the following:
  • The company has presence at national level, as well as internationally due to the biodiversity of its totally organic products and of Peruvian origin that produces a great contribution in the economic income, clear example of this was in the year 2014 that was positioned at the top of the list of Peruvian companies with presence in the international market, in relation to the export of dehydrated organic aguaymanto , which such data were reflected in the contribution that provided its sales in the economy of the country.
  • Villa Andina promotes the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable trade generating opportunities for economic development and healthy consumption through the marketing of natural products, quality and value added, also in the current context the company remains part of the ranking of companies that are a great source of income, now more than ever because the consumer chooses a more responsible purchasing and healthy eating, which is equivalent to a (25%) of the population.
  • Finally, the company generates a large export index, which contributes to the source of economic income of Peruvian families and in turn creates job opportunities within the agricultural localities that boost the economic aspect, achieves a positive change and a better living condition within the communities and contributes to the employment rate within the Peruvian economy.

2.4.3 S is for Social At Villa Andina, all processing area managers are hired in accordance with Peruvian law, and in turn are attributed all social benefits, which are defined according to the following factors:

  • Employee Credit Plan: The company grants loans to employees that are deducted from the employees' monthly pay, which are deducted from their pay on a monthly basis and without interest rate, in up to six installments.
  • Training: All workers have received training in occupational risk prevention, quality control systems (such as Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP), emergency procedures, and proper operation.
  • Profit sharing: The company complies with Peruvian labor legislation and is committed to distributing profits based on 10% of employees. - They cooperate with communities in the high Andean region of the province of Cajamarca (above 2,800 meters above sea level) to promote the development of small producers through relevant strategies such as technical assistance in production, organic production, development of production technologies, organizational strengthening, and market quality products with continuity. 2.4.4 T is for Technological Technology allows to advance and promote a better development of the company and at the same time it is a main factor in an agroindustry, since for the efficient and effective development of crops, care and meticulous work are needed, which the company complies with the following factors:
  • Villa Andina has several agro-industrial machines that are located in its factories, with the objective and purpose of being used to facilitate the process and quick obtainment of the products it offers.
