Hi Amanda, It’s great to hear from you again. It sounds like you’re having a tough time, but don’t worry, it will get easier with time. I totally understand your situation, new country, new school, new people, it’s very difficult to adapt and to feel confident because everything is new. Just remember that there are lots of people who have felt lonely at some point in their life. It is possible to have lots of friends, but it's also possible to feel very alone. I think that your problem is that you don’t believe in yourself, and you’re scared of taking the first step, you can’t stop thinking about your previous life. So stop!, don’t let this feeling invade you. There are lots of ways to to never have to experience this feeling again, so don’t panic! Not all friends are met at school, there are loads of social activities where you can meet amazing people too. Why don’t you first try to meet your neighbors? It will be a great idea to start socializing with someone close to you. Also it’s a great idea to sign up to some classes of your favorite sport, or even instrument, there you can meet many people. I’ve met my two best friends at gymnastics, so probably this could help you a lot especially because you can share the same passion and pleasures. Also throw your own party, don’t wait till they invite you, remember that you count as much as anyone else, so stop hiding away. Good luck Amanda, let me know how things are going and if I were you I wouldn’t give up, i’m sure you’ll find lots of friends, you’re amazing. If you need anything else, i’m here to help you. Best wishes, Berta
