Evidence speak your mind
1. A political system is optimal not because it produces the policies that you prefer. It
produces the policies that much smarter people prefer.
Answer: I do not agree with this phrase because in that sense the political system benefits
a few and does not meet the needs of a community and such a system cannot be optimal.
2. The ideal system depends on the cultural attributes of the population.
Answer: I agree ‘cause the ideal system has to protect culture and religion but be apart
fromthem to take decisions. in addition, in each population they will need different
resources according to the needs they will have to have a better quality of life.
3. Individuals should be admitted to schools and hired for jobs based on their
ability.
Answer: I agree, everyone's right to education and work must be preserved regardless of
ability or any other condition as stated by law.
4. Unlike the private sector, the government is motivated by public interest.
Answer: I disagree, this is the ideal statement for a democratic nation, however this ideal
is not carried out because most of the people who govern us are corrupt and do not watch
over the community.
5. Taxes allow the government to create jobs and provide welfare programs for
people in need.
Answer: I agree, although taxes are annoying but necessary, Governments are
continuously
seeking additional funds from citizens to pay for the needs of their citizens, companies
and bureaucrats and thus be able to maintain the economy of their country from citizens'
taxes.
6. Governmental programs encourage people to become dependent and lazy
instead of inspiring them to become hard-working and independent.
Answer: I disagree, because government programs do not encourage people to become
dependent and lazy, on the contrary, these programs motivate people to be more hard-
working and innovative, but a poorly designed program does.
