Future Plans: Going to vs. Will, Esquemas y mapas conceptuales de Sociología

Two stories about future plans, one using 'going to' and the other using 'will'. The first story describes mary's plans for a night out with friends, while the second story describes a family's vacation plans. The document illustrates the difference between the use of 'going to' and 'will' in expressing future plans.

WRITE TWO STORIES ONE USING GOING TO AND ANOTHER ONE USING WILL
GOING TO
Tonight Mary is going to have fun with her friends. She is going to meet her friends in
front of their house.
First they are going to have dinner at a beautiful restaurant. They are going to order
the most expensive thing on the menu. They are going to finish their table. They are
also going to order the biggest dessert.
Then they are going to go karaoke. Mary is going to get dressed up for the night.
She’s going to wear a new dress. She is also going to put on some makeup. They are
going to find a dance club. Tonight they are going to stay out really late. She is going
to party all night with her friends. She is going to be extra careful about it.
WILL
In a month we are going on a family vacation. My mom and dad will drive us to the coast. The drive will
take two days. I will sit in the front and my brother will sit in the back. I will read the map and tell dad
where to go. We will bring a tent and camp on the way. We will visit new places and new cities. I will take
lots of pictures and will share them on my social media with my friends. I won’t hurry about it, I am
going to share only one picture everyday. We will swim in the ocean when we get there. I will collect
shells and look for jellyfish. My brother and I will build sandcastles. I can’t wait… it will be so fun!
