grammar: conditional sentences
●Les oracions condicionals
(IF + CONDITION), (RESULT) →If you follow me, I’II show you the way.
(We can invert it but without a comma) →I’II show you the way if you follow me.
Si la condició evita que tingui lloc alguna cosa, s'utilitza unless per introduir la
condició i la forma negativa del verb en el resultat. →Unless you get up early,
you won't see the birds.
●CONDITIONaL ZERO → Fets generals
S’utilitza el present simple en la condició i en el resultat. →If the conditions are
right, the birds fly together.
●First conditional→ allò que és probable que passi en
un futur
-If+present, will + infinitive→If we have time, we will also visit La Pedrera.
-If+ present, modal (may/might/should…) + infinitive→If we are lucky, we may
find tickets for the match.
-If+ present, imperative →If you come to Barcelona, visit me.
●Second conditional
-If+ past, would + infinitive→If we ate less, we wouldn’t be so fat.
