Stephen Wiltshire is a famous autistic savant artist who has a particular
talent for drawing. Wiltshire can look at an object once and then draw an
accurate and detailed image of it. He can also make imaginary scenes,
such as St. Paul's Cathedral, surrounded by flames. When he was ten years
old, Wiltshire drew a sequence of drawings of London landmarks, one for
each letter, which he called a "London Alphabet". He appeared in a BBC
documentary, Fragments of Genius, for which he was filmed flying over
London aboard a helicopter and subsequently completing a detailed and
perfectly aerial illustration within three hours. His drawings are popular all
over the world, and are held in a number of important art collections and
museums.
