AUTONOMOUS LEARNING PROJECT

intermediate 11

WHAT IS AUTONOMOUS

LEARNING?

1. The capacity to take

control over one’s own

learning.

2. In our context, the term

is used for learning with

a small amount of

support.

In pairs, present a well-known criminal story to the class (for example, O.J. Simpson’s murder case). You need to retell what happened and what the consequences were. Then, you should present ways in which the case could have ended differently as well as situations / mistakes that could have been prevented, avoided or improved. Option 2

  • 5-6 MINUTES

In pairs, make a sales pitch of a (sports) product you like. You should make the presentation interesting by using cleft sentences for emphasis as well as by comparing the item to its competitors using comparatives and modifiers. Option 3

  • 5-6 MINUTES

Your evaluation will consider four important aspects:

The organization of your presentation

  • (^) Its content,

Your accurate, natural, and fluent use of language

structures needed for the task;

  • (^) Your effective use of presentation support

(intonation, gestures, visuals, videos, etc.)

The score scale goes from 0 to 4

*Remember to prepare your presentation well and

rehearse it with your classmates to successfully

complete and present your project in an impressive

fashion.
